Students who have outstanding obligations are placed on the Hold Exams list. They must clear their obligations before they will be permitted to take their semester exams. Following are some of the things students on the list may owe:
While it would certainly be easier for teachers and administrators to overlook these responsibilities, we know that taking care of one's obligations is a life lesson and a demonstration of one's character. We must hold students accountable for their responsibilities.
Ask your student if he or she is on this list. It's better to get clearance now that to have to run around on the first day of exams and call parents to bring a book or money back to school.
- a book fine (for damage to a textbook)
- a library fine or library book
- a uniform
- a task assigned by the counseling office
- a cafeteria charge
- a technology fee or fine
- senior tribute page in the yearbook
- a sports team fee
